SputterBird
"SputterBird" is a rotating teaser for ocean trolling, using vibration and sound attractors. Sound waves generated by its rotation travel through the water to bring fish to you.

Daisy Chain
Multiple "SputterBirds" are assembled in line, each one revolving in opposite directions to create tremendous water commotion with minimal line twist.
Add a trolling lure or bait to the hidden snap swivel in the last squid. Use 6-10 ft clear mono or fluorocarbon leader. See options in the Saucy Lures section. |
Spreader Bar
Designed with three "SputterBird" teasers directly behind the bar, it makes the squids vibrate and adds action to the trailing stinger.
The "SputterBird" fins dig into the water and follow the waves, so the bar stays horizontal and avoids diving into the next wave. |
Additional Saucy Lures Products
Saucy BulletThis lure is designed to be pulled behind a SputterBird or daisy chain. It simulates a baitfish struggling to catch up to the teaser, an easy meal.
Heavier Bullets can be fished without a teaser, using the rounded head to achieve greater depth. Tuna often prefer deeper targets that are busy feeding on smaller prey. |
Saucy StingerRun this behind either a spreader bar or daisy chain near the surface. The "Saucy Stinger" provides a single hook, a keel weight (inside the squid) and optional braided wire to prevent bite-off from "toothy critters". Sizes from 9" to 18" in various patterns and leader combos.

Saucy Machine
The most popular lure for east coast tuna is now available fully rigged and ready to fish. Use a single rigged 12" Saucy Machine or a Combo Daisy Chain with three Machines and a Sputterbird #4.
Great bait for tuna! |
Tuna Teaser
A most realistic teaser with a hinged, wagging tail and integrated weight. Use 600-1000 pound rigging line, at least 30 feet long, it will run 6-10 ft deep with a wagging, darting action. Attach it to a cleat just outside the prop wash. Tuna will come in to compete with this guy , watch for fish approaching from its side!
